Everything you need to know about our new Tea Concentrates

We have always championed iced tea at Good & Proper. There are few things more refreshing on a hot day. Over the years we’ve helped many customers add iced tea to their menus & develop recipes with them, with great success.

However, cold infusing and batching fresh iced tea on site has its limitations. From over-brewing to inconsistent serves, storage to shelf life. We felt there must be a way to do the hard work of brewing for our customers, providing them with a simple solution to create delicious, consistent and quick iced tea serves all summer long.

That’s how the iced tea concentrate concept was born, and we set out on a mission to create a range of exceptional concentrates that would show people just how good iced tea can be, when done properly.

          

WHAT ARE GOOD & PROPER TEA CONCENTRATES?

A range of small-batch, tea-forward concentrates crafted with the same care and expertise as the rest of our collection.

Available in a storage-friendly, bag-in-box format, each blend starts with real, whole-leaf tea, carefully brewed and blended with natural ingredients to deliver the best possible flavour, every time.

MEET THE RANGE

Three flavours. Endless possibilities for signature summer serves.

HIBISCUS & RHUBARB

Hibiscus produces a uniquely tart, ruby-red infusion and its refreshing zing makes it the perfect base for an iced tea.

We experimented with many complementary flavours before we landed on rhubarb. We found the gentle, sweet jamminess of the rhubarb really worked to compliment and subtly sweeten the tart and cranberry-like hibiscus.

The result is a vibrant and uniquely refreshing iced tea, that tastes as good as it looks.

JASMINE & SICILIAN LEMON

Our Jasmine tea is silky smooth, delicate and irresistibly aromatic. When served as an iced tea the beautiful fragrant notes really sing, and the distinctive green tea profile gives an incredibly smooth finish.

Jasmine and lemon is a much loved pairing, and we chose to use Sicilian lemons for their uniquely zesty character. 

The result is a familiar, yet elevated, sunny day serve.

CHAI


Alongside iced tea, we're also introducing a chai concentrate.
The team really miss the chai lattes that we used to make at our Tea Bar on Leather Lane. When looking at the market, we felt that many of the chais available either don’t contain any tea, or went too far in one direction or the other - in our opinion - when it came to sweetness and spice. They were also often tricky for baristas to prepare.
In developing our own, we looked to traditional masala chai recipes, combining a base of strong Assam tea, layered up with a whole spice blend containing ginger, cardamom, cinnamon, clove and black peppercorns.
The result is a small batch chai concentrate striking the perfect balance between sweetness and spice - perfect for iced and hot serves. And milk is optional - it tastes just as good with water and a slice of lemon!

HOW BEST TO ENJOY GOOD & PROPER TEA CONCENTRATES

Each concentrate is ready to mix with still or sparkling water, or (in the case of Chai) milk at a simple 1:5 ratio, making exceptional tea serves quick, consistent and easy to deliver.
