How do I make the perfect cup of green tea?

To make the perfect cup of green tea, you need two things:

1) Good quality green tea leaves
2) Good water

It then comes down to the brewing, which is specific to each tea. As a general rule of thumb Green tea should be brewed in hot (but not boiling) water of around 75 degrees for 3 minutes. Find out more about the importance of good water and how to make loose leaf tea.

When is the best time to drink green tea?

Green tea can be enjoyed at any time during the day or night. However, Green tea does contain caffeine so if you are sensitive to caffeine it may be best avoided in the evening. If you are drinking green tea for its metabolic benefits, it should be enjoyed first thing in the morning, and after meals.
