How to make an Iced Earl Grey Chocolate Milk
We've partnered up with Islands Chocolate to bring you a grown-up take on a much-loved chocolate milk.
Made using an Earl Grey tea concentrate and Islands' 32% Hot Chocolate powder, the resulting combination is a delicately fragrant, oh-so creamy, iced chocolate drink.
Trying is believing - make it yourself using the recipe below:
WHAT YOU NEED (PER DRINK)
- 200ml water
- 10 x Good & Proper Earl Grey teabags
- 1 x orange
- 120g caster sugar
- 25g Islands 32% Hot Chocolate Powder
- 360ml whole dairy/dairy-alternative milk
METHOD
- To make your tea syrup, infuse the water with your Earl Grey tea bags and thinly cut orange slices for 5-10 minutes over a gentle heat.
- Once done, strain and return to the heat, before adding sugar.
- Heat further to dissolve the sugar and continue heating to reduce the syrup to a thick consistency. Set aside to cool completely before using.
- To make your chocolate milk, heat 50ml of your milk and whisk in the hot chocolate powder until smooth.
- Pour in your remaining chilled milk to cool.
- To serve, pour the syrup and chocolate milk over ice.
