A Cup of Tea with Emma Gannon and Sarah Wood

To celebrate a week of International Women’s Day celebrations, we were delighted to host Emma Gannon and Sarah Wood at the tea bar in March 2018.

Both Emma and Sarah shared an insight into their experiences in the business world, the responsibilities that come with leadership and their inspirations to continue striving for success.

Emma Gannon is a blogger, author, speaker, consultant and podcast host based in London.

The former social media editor of British Glamour has an award-winning blog and has been published everywhere from the Telegraph to Teen Vogue. She enjoys writing on how we can adapt ourselves to survive and thrive in the new world of work. She has written pieces about changes in the workplace for Glamour and the Guardian, and featured in a video on millennials at work for The Pool.

Emma’s ‘Millennial memoir’ CTRL ALT DELETE: How I Grew Up Online was published in July 2016. Emma hosts her highly successful podcast of the same name which discusses work, social media and careers and features guests such as Lena Dunham, Gillian Anderson, Elizabeth Gilbert and Zoella. It has now reached over 1million downloads and was picked as ‘Editor’s Choice’ on iTunes multiple times. It was listed in the Times’ ‘top 20 podcasts to download’; ELLE UK’s ‘podcasts that will boost your career’; Marie Claire’s ‘career-changing podcasts’ and Esquire’s ‘top podcasts of 2017′.

Sarah Wood is co-founder and CEO of video ad tech company Unruly, where she ensures the company delivers the most awesome social video campaigns on the planet. 

Sarah has been named Veuve Clicquot Businesswoman of the YearBusiness Insider's #3 Coolest Woman in Tech,  CEO of the Year at EuropasCity AM Entrepreneur of the Year, and one of Ad Age's 20 Women to Watch in Europe. She is a member of the London Mayor’s Business & AccelerateHER Advisory Boards, is a Technology Ambassador for London and was awarded an OBE in June 2016. 

Sarah is the author of Stepping Up: How to Accelerate Your Leadership Potential, published by Pearson, and is also an associate lecturer at the University of Cambridge, where she teaches a course in Mash-Ups, Memes and LOLitics: Online Video Culture and the Screen Media Revolution.
